2027: Retreat as a reclamation

A reclamation of your energy, your body, your voice and your inner authority.

In the quiet and beauty of Costa Rica, we step out of obligation and into choice — untangling from the patterns and pressures that quietly shape our lives without our consent.

Liberation here means releasing what drains you

and reclaiming what has always belonged to you: your capacity for presence, pleasure, rest and discernment.

Through guided practices, shared experience and spacious time in nature, you’ll reconnect with a deeper sense of sovereignty and agency — not by effort, but by remembering.

You are not reinventing yourself.

You are returning to yourself.

Join us for unforgettable experiences.

Liberation & Realignment

Step out of obligations and into choice

January 23-30, 2027

Is this a good fit for you?

This retreat is for you if you feel the quiet pull to come home to yourself.

If somewhere beneath the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of your life, you sense a need for more space, more truth, more ease — this may be your moment of reclamation.

You’re tired of pushing, fixing, or improving yourself

You feel stretched thin by obligation — even by things you love

You’ve outgrown old patterns, but haven’t yet named what’s next

You crave rest that is restorative, not just time off

You long to hear your own voice more clearly again

Please join us:

Humans of all ages and life stages

All bodies, all levels of yoga experience — including none

Those in transition, pause, expansion or quiet unraveling

Do you have a willingness to listen

— to your body, your intuition and

the wisdom that emerges when you are no longer rushing?

Liberation.

It comes not from effort, but from remembering.

You are not coming to become someone new.
You are coming to return to what has always been yours.

Reclaim your presence.

Your pleasure.

Your rest.

If you body softened as you read this, trust that response.

Maybe not a good fit for you?

If you looking for:

A high-intensity or physically demanding yoga experience

A packed schedule or constant stimulation

A retreat focused on productivity or performance

Glitzy high-rises, dressing up…. doing your hair

No hard feelings though—you do you!

Yup! This is a fit for me.

Location

We’re vibing on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica in Playa Chiquita where the warm turquoise sea laps sandy beaches, and the jungle, waterfalls and tropical toucans, sloths, green macaws, monkeys and other wildlife abound.

We’ll be nestled in the jungle and surrounded just steps to some of the best beaches on the beautiful the Caribbean coast. Our eco-friendly retreat and wellness center is off-the-beaten track but the immediate area has a local market, a few cafes and an artsy souvenir shop.

We’ll be about 3 miles outside of of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca that is a laid-back beach town that moves to it’s own reggae beat and offers nightlife, shopping and local culture.

The retreat and wellness center was formerly a cacao plantation and in addition to cacao trees also has over 20 different types of fruit trees including papaya, starfruit, guananbana, banana, lime, orange, mangosteen and more.

The retreat center keeps things simple to protect the beautiful area. We chose it to compliment our focus on clean air, healthy food, nature and easy living. Pura Vida!

Looks great! I'm ready to register

We’re creating the sweet spot we crave when retreating.

  • Yes. When you register with your $500 deposit, you will see an option for 6 payments beginning in mid-March, 2026.

Payments must be finalized by November 20, 2026.

  • 7 nights, 6 days. Arrive on Saturday, January 23 and depart on Saturday, January 30.

  • We’ll be staying in consciously rustic, eco-friendly structures designed with simplicity and care. The spaces are homey, tropical, and intentionally low-impact — inviting us to slow down, reconnect with our roots, and live in close relationship with the natural world we co-inhabit.

The land itself is alive: fruit trees surround the retreat, and it’s common to see sloths, monkeys, macaws, and other wildlife moving through the space. If you’re drawn to nature, simplicity, and a sense of being with the jungle rather than separate from it, this setting is part of the medicine.

  • Bungalows are open air without air conditioning as temperatures stay between 77-89 degrees Fahrenheit year round. All bungalows have ceiling fans to keep air circulating and the evening air is often cooler.

You’ll hear the sounds of nature and the community all around from the neighborhood.

5 bungalow rooms are equipped with a Queen bed and a single bed and each room has full bathroom with shower.

1 bungalow is a 2-story structure. The upper level has two single beds. The lower level has a queen and single bed. There is a full bathroom with shower for this unit.

Bungalows have zinc metal roofs and you will hear the sound of the rain on your roof top.

Come prepared with earplugs if you need to shut out nature and community sounds.

  • We have a very limited number of solo rooms available. They are an additional $450.

  • We can accommodate many dietary preferences. You must let us know two weeks prior to retreat start.

The retreat center cannot accept anyone who has life-threatening food allergies.

  • We suggest flying in to San Jose, Juan Santamaría International Airport.

From there, you have a couple of options but we suggest a short flight to Limon on using Sansa Air http://flysansa.com/en/home. This is a national flight, easily accessible from the San Jose airport terminal.

Flights are usually around $100. You can then take a shuttle from Limon to the retreat and wellness center for around $25. It’s about an hour drive from Limon.

Alternatively, there is ground transportation that takes about 5 hours from the San Jose airport.

From personal experience, I suggest taking the Sansa flight. It’s like a little site-seeing flight bonus.

  • Our retreat begins on Saturday evening, January 23, 2027. You should arrive by the afternoon.

  • If transportation delays occur, you may join us upon arrival. Refunds are not available for missed portions of the retreat due to transportation or weather delays.

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.

  • Curious, open-hearted, and down for a little adventure. You’ll be among people who value meaningful connection, shared laughter, and community—along with spaciousness for self-directed time, inner reflection and gentle nervous-system reset.

If you’re into co-creating a warm, supportive and positive group vibe, you’ll feel right at home.

  • Yes. This retreat is designed to honor different ways of being. Some moments invite shared experience and community; others intentionally leave space for solitude, rest, and self-directed time. Participation is always invitational, not forced.

Whether you’re naturally outgoing or more inward-leaning, you’ll be supported in showing up exactly as you are.

  • Yes! We’re about co-creating space where everyone is respected and valued. Come as you are!

  • This retreat may not be the right fit if you’re looking for a luxury resort experience, constant stimulation, or a tightly scheduled itinerary from morning to night.

The setting is intentionally rustic and immersed in nature, and the rhythm of the week prioritizes presence, simplicity and spaciousness.

If insects, wildlife, or being closely connected to the natural environment feel more stressful than nourishing, or if you prefer a highly structured, high-comfort experience, this may not be your season for this retreat — and that’s completely okay.

  • The retreat and wellness center has trusted referrals for us who offer honest pricing and superior service.

  • For a week stay in Costa Rica there is no visa requirement. Visitors to Costa Rica must have a valid passport and proof that they will be leaving the country (return ticket home/onward).

  • Fiber optic WIFI is available in the main lodge and eating area at all hours of the day. Internet is NOT available in your bungalow as our focus is on disconnecting and slowing down.

  • The local temperature averages between 77-89 degrees Fahrenheit year round. The climate has often been called a "micro-climate", implying that the variable factors affecting this region are independent from the rest of the neighboring areas.

This region shares very little in common with the rest of the country's weather cycles and It is a different weather pattern than the pacific coast of Costa Rica. It does NOT have a very distinct rainy and dry season.

It may rain in the late afternoon or during the evenings. Pura Vida!

It is very humid year round.

  • We’re going to be casual and comfy.

Plan for both the heat and rain. Sneakers / sport sandals, flip flops.; water shoes if white water rafting. (Leather and cork shoes, like Birkenstocks, tend to fall apart, so save those for dryer climates.

Light-weight long pants, linen type of long sleeve shirt; light-weight, quick dry rain gear, bathing suit, yoga apparel, shorts, t-shirts, sundress, beach cover-up, sun hat, flash light/head lamp and your own personal hygiene and care products.

Please leave flashy and/or valuable jewelry / watches at home.

  • There may be opportunities to enjoy a glass of wine, a beer or tropical drink but this retreat isn’t centered around drinking or a party-style atmosphere.

Our evenings will be relaxed, nourishing, and supportive of rest, presence and meaningful connection.

  • There is no need to rent a car. There are bicycles and taxis available.

  • While there isn’t a gym, there is a beautiful yoga shala, the sea to swim in, beaches for walking/running, and roads with a good shoulder for biking, being mindful of fast drivers.

  • The Caribbean side has many beautiful sandy beaches. There are also some great surf areas as well.

Swim with a buddy and always watch the flag system: green is mild current, yellow-medium and red- high current and where you shouldn’t swim.

  • No vaccinations are required to enter Costa Rica. If you have questions it is advised that you speak with your doctor about any vaccinations or considerations.

A fully equipped emergency facility and clinic is located 10 minutes away in Puerto Viejo.

  • This is the jungle, so there ARE mosquitos and many other bugs. Depending on whether or not you’re a mosquito magnet, they’re not excessive (depending on where you’re from and your mosquito experience) but you will notice them.

Bungalows are enclosed and netting is provided but certainly optional to use.

    Bring your bug repellent.

Around sunset time, putting on light-weight, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt - think linen - is very helpful

  • We love animals, but can’t accommodate them.
